The Commission Groups feature has to be activated prior to activating Top Level Affiliate Fixed Commission(TLAFC) plugin.
This plugin will override settings of your commission group settings.
You can set the value of Top Level Affiliate Fixed Commission(TLAFC) in Commissions Groups settings.
TLAFC default value is set to -1. This default value means, that TLAFC will be not applied for sales.
If the TLAFC value is be set to 0, then the Top Affiliate gets 0$ commission for the sale.
Example:
There are 3 affiliates: John, Jane and Tomas.
John is a subaffiliate of Jane. And Jane is a subaffiliate of Tomas.
So Tomas is our top affiliate.
First possible status:
Commission group settings set the following way: 1st tier is set to 30% and TLAFC is set to 10%.
John refers a sale of 100$.
John will get 30$ commission.(1st tier commission)
Jane will get 0$ commission.(2nd tier commission is not defined)
Tomas as the top affiliate will get 10$ commision.(TLAFC)
Second possible status:
Commission group settings set the following way: 1st tier is set to 30%, 2nd tier is set to 5%, 3rd tier is set to 5% and TLAFC is set to 10%.
John refers a sale of 100$.
John will get 30$ commission.(1st tier commission)
Jane will get 5$ commission.(2nd tier commission)
Tomas, as top affiliate, will get 10$ commision.(TLAFC overrides 3rd tier commission)
You can enable setting "Use original first tier commission" in plugins->TLAFC->configure. This option will allow to force using original 1st tier commission in case that there is only one affiliate in sale and should get 1st commission.
Example:
Commission group settings set the following way: 1st tier is set to 30% and TLAFC is set to 10%.
John refers a sale of 100$.
John will get 30$ commission.(1st tier commission) without "
Note: Without "Use original first tier commission" setting he'll get 10% commission as set in TLAFC plugin
It is recommended not to use this plugin with activated "Top Level Affiliate Commision" plugin!
