Multiple merchants

Multiple merchants feature allows you to have more than merchant (administrator) who can access the Post Affiliate Pro system.

Merchant roles

You can create different roles for the merchant users. For example some merchants can create & edit campaigns and banners, while others can only view them.
This kind of restrictions can be configured in roles. You can create unlimited number of roles with different sets of permissions, and each merchant must have one role defined.

What is not possible with roles

It is not possible to give merchant access only to some campaigns, or to some affiliates. Permissions are set on module, so if merchant has the right to view campaigns, he will see all campaigns.
Post Affiliate Pro DOES NOT not support restricting access to certain data, like campaigns, affiliates, commissions, etc.

Activating the feature

This feature is available only in Professional edition. Users of Starter and Xpress editions can purchase it individually.

The feature has to be activated before it can be used. To activate it go to your merchant panel -> Configuration -> Features
There click on Activate button next to the Multiple merchants feature. If you have Starter or Xpress edition, you have to buy it first.
After this, the feature is activated. Now you can create new merchants.

Adding new merchant

You can manage and add merchants in your merchant panel in Tools -> Merchants.

There you can see the list of all merchants and add new by clicking on Add admin button you can add new merchant user.

You should specify merchants name, username & password, and a role. Role defines set of permissions for modules the merchant can access.

Configuring the role

The next step is to edit the role:

We should keep only the read and export privileges on this role. Click Save button on the bottom and it is done. You have created new role vith read only privileges.

If you want to assign this role to a merchant, you should open merchants management, edit the merchant and set this new role for him.
