Securing HTML Banners with Banner Confirmation in Post Affiliate Network

We introduced the Banner Confirmation feature in Post Affiliate Network version 5.5.5.1 to enhance security.

When merchants create HTML banners, their code could potentially pose security risks, such as including scripts that read cookies.

The Banner Confirmation feature prevents merchants from using banners until the network owner approves the HTML code. Merchants will see the following message:

Banner code is not confirmed yet. Please contact your affiliate manager for confirmation of your banner code.

The network owner must review and approve the banner's HTML code before it can be used.

In the Banner Manager, under the Banner Status column, a Not confirmed! message will appear. The owner can confirm the banner code directly from the Banners Manager screen by clicking the magnifier icon next to the banner name, as shown below:

Alternatively, the owner can edit the banner. In the banner edit window, an information message appears:

Banner code is not confirmed yet. Please check that the banner code contains only secure HTML content or scripts suitable for you and your affiliates.

When switching to the WYSIWYG editor, a popup will prompt for code confirmation:

Once the network owner confirms the code, the banner is approved and becomes visible to both the owner and the merchant (not just the code itself).

What if the network owner prefers not to approve banners and fully trusts the merchant?

The network owner can grant merchants permission to approve their own banners. When this permission is enabled, all future banners created by the merchant will be automatically approved.

The owner can set this permission in Tools > Roles > Banner Confirmation:
