Available actions in Performance rewards rules

This guide explains all available actions that can be defined in Performance rewards feature. By default there is only add bonus commission action available, but if you are using our Commission groups feature you will be able to define performance rewards rules to move affiliates from one commission group to another based on their performance as well. Having Commission groups feature active in your software will unlock two additional performance rewards rule actions put affiliate into commission group and put affiliate into commission group retroactively.

add bonus commission

This action simply generates a separate fixed bonus or a percentage bonus commission for the affiliate when rule conditions are met. This percentage bonus will be calculated based on all commissions this affiliate earned within time period defined in performance rewards rule conditions

Let's have the following performance reward rule as example:
If value of commissions that are Approved in Actual week is higher than (>) 200 then add bonus commission 2%.

Now let's say affiliate earned all-together $250 worth of commissions within the actual week. The 2% bonus commission would be calculated based on all commissions($250) this affiliate earned in actual week, so this performance rewards rule will in this case generate a $5(2% of $250) bonus commission for the affiliate.

put affiliate into commission group
(only available with Commission groups feature)

This action moves affiliate from his current commission group to defined commission group when rule conditions are met. From this moment he will earn commissions defined in his newly assigned commission group. Commissions tracked before affiliate was moved to this new commission group will remain unchanged.

put affiliate into commission group retroactively
(only available with Commission groups feature)

This action also moves affiliate from his current commission group to defined commission group when rule conditions are met. However all commissions affiliate earned within time period defined in performance rewards rule conditions will be re-calculated according to the commission settings of his newly assigned commission group.

Example:
Lets have a campaign with sale commission set to: $5 and lets have a VIP commission group in this campaign that offers sale commission: $8

Now lets have this performance rewards rule:
If number of sales (1st tier) that are Approved in All Time is higher than (>) 200 then put affiliate into commission group (retroactively) VIP.

Lets say an affiliate referred 200 sales until this moment and he got $5 commission for each one of them. So based on our example campaign settings he earned $5x200= $1000 total commissions.
Now affiliate refers his 201st sale and our performance rule is triggered. He is automatically moved to VIP commission group and all his 201 commissions are recalculated based on commission settings of this VIP commission group. Meaning all $5 commissions he earned will be changed to $8. So his total earned commissions will be $8x201 = $1608.

NOTE: Commissions that are already Paid or Bonus commissions generated by other performance rules won't be affected by this action.

put affiliate into commission group with status

Both put affiliate into commission group and put affiliate into commission group retroactively action also allows you to set custom commission group status that will be assigned to the affiliate after he is moved to defined commission group by some performance rewards rule. All available statuses and their functionality is explained in separate guide located in commission groups feature section.

only update user field

With this action you can set value to a specific user field for the affiliate.

add a bonus commission to original referrer for every sale
(only available with Forced matrix feature)

Forced matrix spillover can change parent affiliate of the affiliate, in that case the affiliate will have different parent affiliate than the original parent. This action generates a separate fixed bonus or a percentage bonus commission for the original parent affiliate when rule conditions are met.
