Post Affiliate Pro now supports Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing users to log in using their existing credentials from another identity provider, such as Google. This feature streamlines the login process and enhances security by enabling centralized authentication.
What is Single Sign-On?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication method that allows users to access multiple applications with a single set of login credentials. With SSO enabled in Post Affiliate Pro, users do not need to remember separate usernames and passwords for the affiliate portal—they simply log in using their organization’s SSO provider.
How SSO Works in Post Affiliate Pro
- The merchant enables the SSO feature for their account.
- Once enabled, merchants see an option to log in with SSO on the login page. It is possible to enable it for affiliates in the feature's configuration.
- When a user clicks the SSO option, they are redirected to an identity provider for authentication (currently, only Google is supported).
- After successful authentication, users are automatically logged into Post Affiliate Pro without entering separate credentials.
Configuring SSO
- Navigate to SSO Settings:
- Go to Configuration > Features > Single Sign-On (SSO) in the merchant panel.
- Enable SSO:
- Activate the feature to enable SSO for your account.
- You may choose to enable SSO for merchants, affiliates, or both.
- Save the Settings:
- Click Save to apply your SSO configuration.
Login Experience
- After SSO is enabled, users will see a Continue with Google button on the login page.
- Clicking this button will redirect them to the SSO login page at Google.
- After successful authentication, users will be returned to Post Affiliate Pro and automatically logged in.
Managing SSO Users
- Users created via SSO can be managed in the Users or Affiliates sections as usual.
- Deactivating SSO for a user will require them to use the standard login process.
- User roles, permissions, and access are managed the same as for regular users.
