Post Affiliate Pro provides a managed SSL certificate option to secure your custom domain without requiring you to purchase or manually manage certificates. When enabling a custom domain, you have two certificate options:
- Managed certificate (Let's Encrypt) – A free, automatically renewed SSL/TLS certificate
- Own SSL/TLS certificate – Your own custom certificate for advanced configurations
Getting Started with a Managed Certificate
To use the free managed certificate for your custom domain, follow these steps:
- Select the managed certificate option: Choose Managed certificate (Let's Encrypt) when configuring your custom domain.
- Enter your custom domain: Provide your custom domain in the appropriate field (for example, partners.yourdomain.com). Ensure you enter the domain without any protocol prefixes like http:// or https://, and avoid including additional paths.
- Configure DNS records: Set the CNAME record of your custom domain to point to your Post Affiliate Pro domain (yourdomain.postaffiliatepro.com). This allows Post Affiliate Pro to verify domain ownership and issue the SSL/TLS certificate automatically.
- Automatic renewal: Once configured, Post Affiliate Pro handles all certificate management on your behalf. The SSL/TLS certificate is automatically renewed on a regular basis, ensuring your custom domain remains secure without any manual intervention required.
After saving your settings, the certificate and domain configuration will be applied within several minutes. Your Post Affiliate Pro mini website, merchant portal, and affiliate portal will then be accessible from your custom domain over HTTPS.
