How does Post Affiliate Pro work?

Post Affiliate Pro is an advanced affiliate tracking software that lets businesses create and run an affiliate program. It offers robust tools for tracking affiliate-driven traffic and conversions, enabling companies to monitor and reward affiliates effectively. The software supports various commission structures, offers detailed reporting tools, and integrates seamlessly with many e-commerce platforms.

The system provides separate panels for merchants and affiliates and includes a public mini-site with login and signup forms & quick pre-set pages, where you can publish details about your affiliate program, commission rates, terms & conditions, and so on.

Who is a merchant?

A merchant is the person who creates and manages the affiliate program. The merchant configures and manages the system, sets up campaigns, defines commission structure and rates, prepares promotional material for affiliates, oversees reports, and pays out affiliates for the referred traffic.

Who is an affiliate?

An affiliate is a person or organization that promotes the merchant's products or services in exchange for a commission. Affiliates use various marketing methods & strategies to send traffic and sales to the merchant's website. When a sale or a specific action (e.g. a new account signup) is done as a result of their efforts, they earn a commission in the form of a percentage of the transaction's price or a fixed amount.

Affiliates can be assigned to groups in which they are entitled to different commission rates than others. This can be managed using the Commission groups feature. Affiliates can also be moved between groups automatically based on various criteria using the Performance rewards feature.

What is a commission?

A commission is compensation attributed to the affiliate for referred traffic.

What is a campaign?

A campaign primarily serves to outline the form and amount in which affiliates are compensated for their promotional efforts. A campaign allows the merchant to define the commission rates for clicks, sales, impressions (views of banners), or custom actions (signups, leads, etc.). Having multiple campaigns allows merchants to apply different commission rates for different products.

What is a commission structure?

A commission structure is a system that determines how affiliate commissions are calculated and applied for their promotional efforts. It includes the commission rates, the types of actions that generate commissions, and other parameters that affect commission calculation.

What are multi-tier commissions?

Multi-tier commissions allow affiliates to get compensation not only for traffic they refer directly, but also for activity generated by affiliates they recruited - their sub-affiliates. This tiered system provides additional income opportunities.

How the multi-tier commissions work:

1st tier: The affiliate earns a commission for traffic they referred directly.
2nd tier (and higher): A parent affiliate earns a commission also from activity generated by sub-affiliates they have brought into the affiliate program.
