How to Process Payouts Below the Minimum Payout Threshold in Post Affiliate Pro
This article explains how the minimum payout balance works in Post Affiliate Pro and how merchants can manually process affiliate payouts even when the minimum payout threshold has not been reached.
Understanding the Minimum Payout Balance
The minimum payout balance setting in Post Affiliate Pro controls when the Request Payment button becomes available in an affiliate's account. It is designed to prevent affiliates from requesting payments below a certain amount.
Importantly, this setting does not prevent you, as a merchant, from processing payouts below the configured minimum. You retain full control over when and how much you pay out.
Processing Payouts Below the Minimum Threshold
By default, the Payouts > Pay Affiliates section displays all commission balances earned by affiliates, including those who have not yet reached the minimum payout balance. To ensure all affiliates are visible and eligible for manual payout, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Payouts > Pay Affiliates in your Post Affiliate Pro merchant panel.
- Click Advanced Search.
- Locate the checkbox labeled Show only those affiliates that reached minimum payout amount.
- If this checkbox is enabled, uncheck it.
- The list will now display all affiliates' commission balances, including those below the minimum payout threshold.
- Select the affiliates you wish to pay and process their payouts as usual.
Example Workflow
1. Go to Payouts > Pay Affiliates. 2. Click on Advanced Search. 3. Uncheck "Show only those affiliates that reached minimum payout amount". 4. Select desired affiliates. 5. Process manual payout.
Note on the "Show Request Payment Button" Option
If the Show Request Payment Button option is disabled in your settings, there is no need to configure the minimum payout balance for the purpose of controlling affiliate payment requests. You can still process payouts for any amount at any time from the merchant panel.
Disabling the Show Request Payment Button streamlines your process if you only want merchants to initiate payouts.
Automatic Time-Based Payouts Below the Minimum
There is no built-in setting in Post Affiliate Pro to automatically trigger a payout after a specified period of time (e.g., 12 months after the last activity), regardless of whether the minimum payout balance has been reached.
If you need to process payouts for affiliates who have not reached the minimum threshold, this must be done manually using the steps described above. Automated time-based payout processing below the minimum threshold would require a custom integration or external automation (e.g., via the Post Affiliate Pro API or a scheduled cron job).
Automated payouts below the minimum threshold are not supported by default and require custom technical solutions.
Summary
- The minimum payout balance only affects the affiliate-facing Request Payment button.
- Merchants can always process payouts below the minimum manually via Payouts > Pay Affiliates.
- Use Advanced Search and uncheck the minimum payout filter to see all affiliates.
- There is no standard automated feature to trigger below-threshold payouts after a set time period.
