Managing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Post Affiliate Pro

This article explains how to enable, disable, and manage two-factor authentication (2FA) settings in Post Affiliate Pro for both merchants and affiliates.

Overview

Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security for user accounts. Both merchants and affiliates can manage their 2FA settings through their respective panels.

For Merchants: Managing Your 2FA Settings

As a merchant, you can enable or disable two-factor authentication for your account by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Merchant Panel.
  2. Navigate to Edit User Profile.
  3. Locate the two-factor authentication settings.
  4. Enable or disable 2FA as needed.
  5. Save your changes.

For Affiliates: Managing Your 2FA Settings

Affiliates can manage their own 2FA settings through the Affiliate Panel:

  1. Log in to your Affiliate Panel.
  2. Navigate to your User Profile Settings.
  3. Locate the two-factor authentication options.
  4. Enable or disable 2FA according to your preference.
  5. Save your changes.

For Merchants: Requiring 2FA for All Affiliates

If you want to make two-factor authentication mandatory for all your affiliates, you can enforce this requirement through your merchant settings:

  1. Log in to your Merchant Panel.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Affiliate Panel > General.
  3. Check the option labeled "Make two-factor authentication mandatory".
  4. Save your configuration changes.

Once enabled, all affiliates will be required to set up 2FA when accessing the Affiliate Panel.

Troubleshooting 2FA Issues

If you experience any issues when setting up or disabling 2FA, such as being locked out of your account or unable to access the 2FA settings:

  • For Affiliates: Contact your merchant directly for assistance. They may be able to help you regain access or adjust your 2FA settings.
  • For Merchants or Unresolved Issues: Reach out to our support team, and we will do our best to assist you in resolving the issue.

If you are locked out due to 2FA, immediate support contact is strongly recommended to regain access.

Important Notes

  • 2FA settings are managed individually for each user account.
  • Merchants have the ability to require 2FA for all affiliates in their system.
  • If you are locked out due to 2FA issues, contact your merchant or support team for assistance.

Enabling 2FA significantly increases account security and is highly recommended for all users.
