Banners are used by affiliates to promote your company - your products or website. Post Affiliate Pro 4 (PAP) offers you a lot of types of banners. You can manage them in the section of Banners in the Merchant panel.
If you want to create a new banner, navigate to Banners > Banner manager, click "Add banner" and choose its type. Each banner must be assigned to a campaign.

Image banner
One of the most common banners is the Image banner. When you are creating it, you need to upload an image which will be viewed as a banner. When a visitor clicks on it, he will be redirected to the Destination URL. You should enter the URL of the landing page (e.g main site or index page of your shop). At this page you have to insert the click tracking code to track clicks and sales.
If you select Iframe wrapper to be used, then the affiliates will get a JavaScript version of the banner code (not the HTML code). Advantage of the JavaScript version is that you can change the  code of the banner in merchant panel and it will take effect even in those banners which are already in use at an affiliate page.
If you set this banner as hidden, it won't be
displayed to the affiliates. It can be used for a banner in progress, or for a banner used in rotator, which you don't want to display to the affiliates.

Text link
If you want to provide your affiliates an easier option to promote your site everywhere in their site, you can create for them a text link banner. All the necessary info will be entered directly in the form (text link banner), so you do not need to upload anything - no pictures, no special data... Just a simple text.

Flash banner
Sometimes it is useful to offer an animated flash banner, which is more eye-catching, than e.g. an ordinary image banner. Post Affiliate Pro offers you the possibility to use flash banners. First you have to create an swf file (use some flash editor) and upload it (click on "Change Flash SWF"). The swf file has to be created as clickable.

HTML banner
HTML banner is the best option for those having higher demands. With this type of banner  you can do almost everything. You can add videos, pictures, applets... anything to your banner what can be done with HTML. In HTML banner you can use variables concerning affiliates' data.
If you enable the option of Show preview in iframe, the banner preview in affiliate panel will be shown in an iframe. This can be useful when you have some javascript code in the HTML code and you do not want it to interact with the rest of the affiliate panel.

Promo Email
This banner type is for email promotion. You can define the email text you want your affiliates to use to promote you. Again, you can use variety of variables to personalize the promotional email. It supports HTML code so you can use pictures, links, colored text etc. Affiliate will see his/her email and the only need for him/her is to copy the text and paste it to the email.
Or you can activate the "Mail to friend" plugin, which allows the affiliates to send the promo emails directly from the affiliate panel.

Simple PDF
Very popular off-line promotion tool is a simple PDF document. Your affiliates can send a PDF in emails or just print it and leave the papers at some public places. With the simple PDF type of baner you can create a PDF file with all usual instances like linked text (which will not work in paper form of course), pictures, colors... This banner is called "simply PDF" because you can not import an already created PDF, but you have to design it all and then let PAP to create it. In case you already have your own PDF created, then you can use a special feature called RebrandPDF banner that is described in special section. The link to this section is at the bottom of this article.

Banner Rotator
The best tool to manage affiliate banners at their own sites is to create a banner rotator. Affiliates will see this banner as a JavaScript code but at the web site the code will create the HTML code to show the banners. After you create this banner rotator, you have to configure which (existing) banners should rotate there and how often. The Rank  option is used for specifying the frequency of appearance of a banner in the banner rotator... E.g. you can use an image banner with rank 100 and a text banner with rank 0 - this will mean, that the image banner will be shown always in the banner rotator and text link banner won't be shown ever in the particular banner rotator. If you use an image banner with rank 70 and a text link banner with rank 30, the image banner will be shown 7:3 more fluently than text link one. Read more here
